The Board of Directors of the Western
States Angus Association and the Western National Angus Futurity
voted to accept the proposal of the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno,
Nevada to be the host hotel for the 2009 Western National Angus
Futurity scheduled for April 25, 26 and 27. Located off Hwy 395
approximately 2 miles from the Reno Livestock Event Center, the
new headquarters features 1,993 rooms with futurity
accommodations in the newly refurbished Summit, “ A luxury hotel
within the hotel”, spanning the top eleven floors of the Grand
Sierra. Upscale, luxury amenities including an exclusive Summit
check in area, dedicated Summit reservationist and bell staff,
private elevator to the Summit floors, Summit level concierge
lounge, stylish accommodations with elegant furnishings, spa
inspired bathrooms with floor to ceiling marble and rainforest
showers. The Summit accommodations also include a butler pantry
with state of the art Kenmore Elite microwave and refrigerator
in each room. The property
will indeed be a hit with the juniors and their families.
Included is a 50 lane 24 hour bowling center, movie theaters,
