Elite Angus cattle
and earthquakes that trembled up to a magnitude of 4.7 hit the
2008 Western National Angus Futurity (WNAF) Super Point Roll of
Victory (ROV) Angus Show, April 27-28 in Reno, Nevada. Ernie
Wallace, Stotts City, Mo., evaluated the 125 females, 55 bulls
and three cow-calf pairs before selecting champions of the 56th
WNAF.
The 56th Western National Angus Futurity drew exhibitors with
cattle from eighteen states. The weather was as beautiful as
anyone can remember for this Reno event. The event was dedicated
to long time Angus friends and supporters, Hal and Lois Schudel.
The champions were spread throughout the barn with many of the
smaller herds competing on a strong equal level as the larger
opperations. The show drew folks from across the land along with
many of the Western Breeders in attendance. Jud Baldridge, North
Platte, NE was the winner of the big draw followed by Richard
Stotts, Clarenden, TX and Darrell Hanson, HAVE Angus, Wilton, CA
was the 2008 herdsman award winner. Indeed a fun filled Angus
weekend in the Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, NV, where
in 2008........
