What a tremendous day
for the Kesslers. Every bull sold. The sale was rapid fire from
the beginning to end. Standing room only crowd. Super set of bulls
presented at their very best. Many repeat buyers. Cattle sold to
four states. Hospitality was superb. Indeed a banner day for a
long established banner program. A job certainly well, well done.

A beautiful sunny day
greeted a large crowd for the 25th Pope Angus Ranch Sale. Active
demand for the low BEPD heifer bulls with 26 averaging $2,650. The
open heifers topped at $1,850 on lot 70, Lochobar Queen Eileen
707, 2-04-07 by LD Redirect 11 selling to Cole Coffer, Macdoel,
CA. The 42 unregistered open heifers sold at $790 and all went to
Denis Hickey, Merrill, OR. The sale lunch was superb and enjoyed
by all in attendance. The Pope Family hospitality was super. The
sale average was up 5% over the 2007 event. Indeed a job done well
by all involved. A tremendous tribute to this historic program.

A tremendous set of
well presented bulls were featured in this 2008 Sunny Okanogan
Sale celebrating their 48th year in the Angus business. Volume
buyer honors went to Antoine Valley Ranch, Tonasket, WA taking 10
bulls. Strong demand for the low BEPD bulls and the two year old
offering. This year’s event sold the largest numbers in recent
years. The Vejraska family must be commended on a job well done.
Bulls sold throughout north central Washington into British
Columbia.

A fantastic crowd
gathered on a beautiful warm spring day and enjoyed one of the
sale season’s most fantastic lunches. Prime rib, shrimp, oysters
and all the trimmings. The bulls were presented in super fashion
and were rapidly latched on to by 51 buyers from eight states. The
hospitality extended by Jeff and Pam Schmidt and Roger and Ellie
Schmidt and families at JR Ranch along with Myles and Lisa
Tellefson and family of Warden, WA were at as high of level as
you’ll find. Indeed, programs that have advanced as rapidly as any
in the west over the past three years. Our hats are off to both
firms for a job well done.
